Full Bloom

“Full Bloom” is the first of many surrealist figurative portraiture pieces I had planned. Near the end of 2024 God gave me a dream regarding my debut solo exhibition. A few months later the gallery called, I accepted and stepped out in faith knowing this was ordained by God for me to do. Throughout the majority of 2025 I was painting pop surrealist paintings to prepare for the exhibition “Cosmic Beetle” in September 2025. God used it as an evangelistic tool. I got to share Jesus and my testimonies with people. I even had booklets printed explaining the artwork and how it related to the gospel and all of them were even gone by the end of the exhibition. I know God used it to touch peoples hearts but on a personal level I didn’t understand the effect it had on me, until a month or two later. Now I understand the whole exhibition was the expression of my healed inner child in God. It had to happen and be expressed before I could reach the full maturity in my craft. That’s where “Full Bloom “ comes in. It’s about reaching that maturity and it’s the first of many pieces where I can play with light and human form in a more tangible way. I’m grateful to be here and to have completed this work at this moment in time.
